In the relentless hustle of modern life, we often sideline the most crucial aspect of our well-being – self-love. If you are anything like me, I am always up for a challenge, especially when it is a challenge to better myself. While I have gladly embraced no-sugar, no-alcohol, and all sorts of fitness challenges, a challenge to love myself better for some reason was a bit of a mental challenge. Choosing to love yourself well requires a step of faith for many. Past experiences, both good and bad, affect the way we see ourselves and the value we believe we deserve. For many, including myself, choosing to love me daily, with intention, challenged many unconscious feelings I held about my self-worth.

Despite the initial challenge, taking the step to commit to loving myself again and better than before was the first step in my healing journey after a history of trauma. Year after year of commitment to this practice has produced an invaluable return in the way I view myself and all of my relationships.

  12. Empowering Music Playlist: Create a playlist of songs that make you feel strong and empowered and listen to it regularly.

  14. Personal Growth Podcasts: Listen to a podcast episode about personal development or self-care each week.
